Blackwater Rafting

Blackwater rafting is a spin on the traditional whitewater rafting. Instead of cruising down a river in a rubber dingy, blackwater rafting takes you into the depths of caves for a rafting experience like no other. Instead of being in a raft with a group, each person has their own inner tube which they use to weave in and out of narrow unlit caves, wearing head torches to light the way. Waitomo Caves in New Zealand is probably the most well-known for this type of rafting with its hidden caves of glow worms to heighten the experience. .
